Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, and welcome.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m Denis, a BACP Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with over 20 years of full-time experience. I’ve supported individuals from all walks of life through anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, burnout, and life transitions. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next steps, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, clarity, and care.
My approach is down-to-earth, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic tools, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, TA, mindfulness, and integrative psychotherapy. At the heart of our work will be a strong, trusting relationship, because I believe the most important part of therapy is feeling truly seen, heard, and understood.
We’ll begin by understanding what’s going on for you right now, and then gently work together to explore patterns, build new strategies, and move toward a life where you feel more balanced, confident, and in control. I work flexibly, whether you prefer structured, goal-focused sessions or a space to reflect and process at your own pace.
Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and calm. My job isn’t to tell you what to do, but to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom and support you in making meaningful, lasting changes.
No matter what you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to help.

Denis Bruce recognises that taking the first step toward therapy takes courage and he meets that moment with experience and steadiness. He is a BACP Senior Accredited Psychotherapist – a senior accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy – and has 25 years of full-time practice supporting people through anxiety, trauma, self-esteem difficulties, relationship challenges, burnout and life transitions.
His therapeutic stance is down-to-earth, non-judgmental and collaborative. He draws on a broad range of approaches, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, TA, mindfulness and integrative psychotherapy, selecting techniques to suit each person’s needs and goals.
At the centre of his work is a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship – he believes the most important part of therapy is feeling truly seen, heard and understood. Early sessions focus on understanding what is happening now, and then he works gently with people to explore patterns, develop practical strategies and move toward a more balanced, confident and controlled life.
Denis works flexibly, whether someone prefers structured, goal-focused sessions or a quieter space to reflect and process at their own pace.
Clients often describe him as warm, thoughtful and calm. He does not tell people what to do; his role is to help them reconnect with their own wisdom and to support meaningful, lasting change so they do not have to face difficulties alone.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For most common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is flexibility. People can connect in the way that suits them best: via video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. That variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to choose a format that feels comfortable.
Each therapist involved is a licensed professional, and clients can switch therapists at any time if they would prefer a different fit. Online therapy offers practical access and adaptable delivery while still allowing for the therapeutic work that supports change and growth.
