Dawn Rogers has worked as a Counselling Professional since 2005, bringing two decades of experience to her therapeutic practice. She speaks from both professional training and lived experience of depression, recognising how life can feel like a series of building blocks we carry within us.
Her work spans support for children and adults facing mental health challenges, and she has developed particular awareness and experience in supporting people with Autism and ADHD. She understands common day-to-day struggles such as masking and anxiety, and the added burden that limited awareness and support can create.
She values being fully present with people and describes counselling as a work she loves. Dawn combines a creative approach with a grounded style and places high importance on truly listening to each person she meets. Over the years she has delivered counselling in schools, fostering communities, with Live Well Kent (a mental health and wellbeing organisation), in doctors' surgeries, through counselling charities and in her private practice.
Dawn has experience helping clients manage stress and anxiety, cope with grief and loss, and build motivation, self-esteem and confidence while working with depression. She believes each person is the expert of their own story and that their strengths can support them through difficult times. Taking the first step towards a more fulfilling life requires courage, and she is available to support people through that process. She invites prospective clients to get in touch to see if they feel comfortable and to explore what they would like to gain from counselling.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely help. For a range of common concerns - including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and navigating life changes - online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major advantage of remote therapy is flexibility. Clients can choose the mode of contact that suits them best - video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging - which often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if someone wants a different therapeutic match they can change therapists at any time. For many people, remote sessions offer a practical and effective way to access support when they need it.
