Christopher Yeung is a BACP-registered psychodynamic therapist (registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) who works with a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach.
Many of his clients come to him feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected - often appearing high-functioning on the outside while carrying a deep sense of pressure, shame, or emotional numbness on the inside.
Someone may not label what they have experienced as trauma, yet their body and emotions can tell a different story: fatigue, overthinking, chronic anxiety, difficulty trusting others, or a persistent sense of not being “good enough”. These responses are not flaws - they are survival strategies.
He provides a warm, grounded space where clients can gently explore their inner world at their own pace. His method blends attentive listening with psychodynamic understanding - aimed at making sense of the past so it no longer controls the present.
In therapy with Christopher, there is no expectation that a person must be “fixed”. Instead he offers space to feel, to understand, and to reconnect with parts of oneself that may have been pushed away for years.
He works with trauma (including emotional neglect and complex PTSD), anxiety, overthinking and burnout, depression and emotional numbness, self-esteem and inner critic work, relationship wounds and attachment issues, and navigating life transitions and emotional overwhelm.
His style is gentle, reflective, and attuned to emotional needs. He explores patterns in life, relationships, and early experiences - not to stay stuck in the past but to help clients reclaim their voice, needs, and inner safety in the present.
He offers both short-term and long-term work depending on the client’s goals. Sessions can be conducted in English or Mandarin, whichever helps clients express themselves more fully.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life changes - online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One key benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect with a therapist in the way that suits them best - by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may choose to switch therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit.
Online therapy can support many of the issues people commonly seek help for, and the different communication methods help accommodate personal needs and schedules.
