Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am an experienced, qualified Therapeutic Counsellor with several years of counselling experience. I am able to work online and face 2 face. I have experience working with Children and Young people and men and women of all ages, backgrounds, cultures because of my work in a variety of sectors. I have worked within various counselling organisations and schools, offering individual therapy and support to those that need it most. Additionally, I also have experience as a Christian counsellor. Therefore I am comfortable talking about spiritual beliefs.
I hold an MSC in Counselling Children and Young people and hold a BSC Degree in Psychology. Furthermore, I have completed my BACP Certificate of Proficiency text
I have completed a range of additional CDP training in areas such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, mindfulness-based practice, and attachment in practice. As a result, I have a wide range of experience in counselling, both working with children & young people, families and adults.
I have worked within a variety of talking therapies and am currently working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and practising privately.
I am trained integratively, which means I draw upon several theoretical approaches to counselling. I do not hold the view that one stand-alone theory can adequately offer my clients the flexibility to work with the many presenting issues they may need support with.
Counselling should be as individual as you are, so I collaborate with you to tailor therapy sessions that feel right for you. I offer a safe and confidential space in a supportive atmosphere to help attain the personal growth you are looking for. I will listen to your personal experience and walk with you on your journey to change.
Throughout therapy, I shall offer you unconditional support, reflections and insight to help you gain a new perspective on your life. In addition, I aim to support you in discovering new ways of thinking to increase your confidence and enable you to find your own way forward.
I conduct frequent reviews to check out how we are doing, what is helpful, unhelpful, etc, as the quality of the relationship between the therapist and client is the most critical factor for a successful outcome.

Her professional background includes roles within counselling organisations and schools where she provided individual therapy and support to those who needed it most. She also has experience as a Christian counsellor and is comfortable discussing spiritual beliefs as part of therapeutic work.
Carys holds an MSc in Counselling Children and Young People and a BSc degree in Psychology, and she has completed the BACP Certificate of Proficiency. Currently she works within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services while also practising privately. Trained in an integrative way, Carys draws on several theoretical approaches rather than relying on a single model, so therapy can be adapted to the presenting issues.
Counselling is tailored collaboratively to each person, providing a supportive and confidential space to work towards personal growth. She listens to each client’s experience and offers ongoing support, reflection and insight to help develop new perspectives and increase confidence. She conducts regular reviews to assess progress and what is helpful or unhelpful, recognising that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is a central factor in achieving positive outcomes.
Many people ask whether online therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, research and practice show that remote therapy can be as effective as in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that best suits them, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. That range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to access support from different locations.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and if someone feels they need a different therapeutic match they can switch to another practitioner at any time. Online therapy offers practical ways to engage with care while maintaining the core elements of effective treatment such as a collaborative relationship, tailored approaches and regular review of progress.
