ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Carmen and I can support you through difficult issues and life changes. If you are struggling with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem, relationships, addiction, facing major life changes or find it difficult handling multicultural issues, I would like to help you find a path to overcome your concerns. I invite you in a gentle, supportive and non-judgmental way to work collaboratively on your individual needs. I believe in the power of your inner resources for self-healing and repair through a nurturing relationship.
My aim is to create a nurturing relationship that enables you to explore and connect the root of your current struggles with formative experiences and past relationships. I want to support you to change unhelpful behavioural and thinking patterns that are preventing you from leading the life you want and to implement self-care and self-compassion to transform your life. I believe in the power of connecting with your emotions to heal and transform, and lead a life with clarity.
I work holistically taking into account feelings, body, mind and the soul. My clients are from a variety of cultural backgrounds, as well as diverse sexual orientation and gender identity. I am an Integrative Counsellor with over 9 years of experience providing therapy. I tailor different therapeutic approaches including Person Centre, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness among others to best suit your individual needs.
I am passionate about nature for healing and calm, as well as cultures as a way of broaden the senses and understanding others in our differences and similarities, and people power to bring out our inner resources for self-healing through a nurturing relationship.

For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life transitions, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and practice indicate that these modes of therapy work well for a wide range of everyday mental health needs.
One major benefit of online work is flexibility. People can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life or to keep contact when in-person meetings are difficult.
Therapy delivered remotely is provided by licensed professionals and therapists. If someone wishes to try a different practitioner, it is possible to switch to another therapist at any time to find a better fit.
