Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
We live life in relationship to others which can be quite challenging at times. We often end up feeling lonely, withdrawn, and wondering if we’re good enough, when those challenges arise. Then, when we lose an important relationship for whatever reason, we can go into a deep and complicated grief. We act in ways we never thought we would and can’t figure out why. We may get angry easily, withdraw from everyone, look for comfort in drugs, alcohol or food, or have difficulty sleeping. Sometimes we question everything we believe. You have taken a very positive step by deciding to seek therapy. There are no miracle cures. I cannot promise that your behavior or circumstance will change. I can promise to support you and do my very best to understand you and repeating patterns, as well as to help you clarify what it is that you want for yourself.
My experience has been in helping clients with relationships, stress and anxiety, sleeping disorders, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I also have experience working with depression and substance misuse problems. I believe healthy relationships with others and ourselves are foundational to better mental health. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. My approach is client-centered and holistic in that I take a look at all aspects of who you are to understand where you are now and how we can get to where you want to be. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
In therapy I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy, Grief and Loss, Hope-Focused Couples Counseling, and The Gottman Approach. I will tailor tools and techniques to you to best meet your needs. I will meet you where you are and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to be able to work through these issues that have brought you here today.

Beth Russell approaches therapy with an emphasis on relationships and how they shape daily life. She recognizes that relational challenges can leave people feeling lonely, withdrawn, and doubting their worth, and that losing an important relationship can produce deep, complicated grief. In response to these stresses, people may find themselves behaving in unfamiliar ways – becoming easily angered, pulling away from others, turning to substances or food for comfort, or experiencing trouble sleeping – and Beth seeks to help clients make sense of those reactions.
With nine years of clinical experience, Beth works with individuals on issues such as stress and anxiety, sleep difficulties, motivation, self-esteem and confidence, depression, and substance misuse. She believes that healthy connections with others and with oneself are central to improved mental health, and she strives to build an open, nonjudgmental atmosphere where thoughts and feelings can be expressed safely.
Her style is client-centered and holistic; she considers many aspects of a person’s life to understand where they are now and how to move toward their goals. Beth does not promise quick fixes, but she does promise support and careful effort to identify repeating patterns and clarify what a client wants for their life.
Beth tailors interventions to each person, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy, Grief and Loss work, Hope-Focused Couples Counseling, and The Gottman Approach. She is a licensed professional counselor in Colorado (CO LPC LPC.0017972) and offers services to clients in Colorado.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person treatment.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that fits their life and comfort level, whether through video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to keep consistent appointments and to access support when it is needed.
Therapists who offer online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they feel another provider would be a better fit. For many people facing everyday mental health concerns, online therapy is a practical and effective way to receive professional care.
