Benjamin Isaacs is a UKCP accredited integrative psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP, bringing 18 years of professional experience to his clinical work. His accreditation with the UK Council for Psychotherapy and membership of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy reflect his training and commitment to recognised professional standards.
Alongside his psychotherapy practice, he has worked in the care and support sector, compassionately supporting vulnerable adults with mild, moderate and severe care needs. Recent study and research into archetypal psychology and mindfulness and meditation have meaningfully influenced his approach, allowing him to weave personal narrative and mythological elements into the therapeutic exchange when appropriate.
Benjamin prioritises kindness and compassion in the therapeutic relationship, valuing the shared humanity that supports the healing process. He recognises both light and shadow within people and sees initiating a dialogue with fragmented parts of the self as central to his psychotherapy work.
Creative imagination, attention to bodily sensations and the inclusion of dreams are all ways he supports change and deeper insight. He looks forward to meeting clients and beginning work that may transform their life or at least bring greater comfort in how they experience themselves in the world.
Many people ask whether online therapy can genuinely help. For a range of common concerns - including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and navigating life changes - online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is the flexibility it offers. Individuals can connect with a therapist in whatever way suits them best - by video call, by phone, via live chat or through in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All sessions are delivered by licensed professionals, and if someone decides a different therapeutic match would be better they can switch therapists at any time.
