Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I have seven years of experience in clinical social work, primarily assisting clients with adjustment to challenging transitions in life. Much of my experience has been with clients who are living with serious illnesses, facing difficult decisions, learning how to manage anxiety and depression, and/or coping with grief and loss.
Personally, I am a recent cancer survivor and work in an oncology clinic. My experience in both of these roles has reinforced my belief in a whole health approach to treatment. The mind and body are inextricably connected and both must be given attention and cared for to maintain balance.
My therapeutic approach is client centered, strengths based, and solution focused. I help clients set reasonable expectations to meet their personally identified goals. I value the therapeutic relationship and strive for my clients to not only feel heard by me, but to hear themselves clearly as well. Sometimes hearing ourselves is very difficult with the chatter of the stress and worry in our minds. I work to help clients gain clarity in their thoughts and alter less functional patterns of thinking, primarily drawing from mindfulness practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Ashley Hayes is a licensed clinical social worker authorized to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts with eight years of clinical experience. She focuses on helping people adjust to difficult life transitions and supports those managing serious illness, making hard decisions, coping with anxiety and depression, and grieving loss.
As a recent cancer survivor who also works in an oncology clinic, Ashley brings both personal and clinical insight into whole-health care. She emphasizes the connection between mind and body and supports clients in tending to both areas to restore balance.
Her therapeutic style is client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. Ashley assists clients in setting realistic expectations that align with their goals, and she places strong value on the therapeutic relationship so clients feel heard and can learn to hear themselves. She helps quiet the mental chatter that interferes with clarity, and works to shift less helpful thinking patterns using mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Many people ask whether online therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the communication method that fits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it simpler to integrate therapy into busy schedules.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists at any time if they want a different match. For many, online therapy offers a convenient, evidence-backed way to pursue support without sacrificing professional standards of care.
