Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am clinically licensed in Missouri with several years of high level professional work experience. I am formally trained in Trauma focused approaches; EMDR; ADHD systems and support; Motivational Interviewing; Clinical Wellness Coaching; Clinical Treatment planning for individual, systems and communities; Safety planning; Zero Suicide intervention; Cognitive Behavioral Therapies including Dialectal, Developmental Disorder, and Trauma focused modalities.
First and foremost everything I use is focused through a trauma lens. I start where the client is at and look at safety first. Then, I approach through the wellness model while using the Integrative therapy most appropriate for the client needs. Somatic therapies and psychoeducation are most common while implementing talk therapies. Once a treatment plan is established I find I use a holistic blend of CBT, DBT, TFCBT, Acceptance and Commitment, Behavioral Activation. Strengths Based, Family Systems, Expressive Arts, and more depending on the needs of the client.
I have a great deal of experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting issues, finding motivation, ironing out self esteem issues, and building confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Angela Simbro is a Missouri-licensed clinical social worker with 7 years of professional experience. She has formal training in trauma-focused approaches and is skilled in EMDR, ADHD systems and support, Motivational Interviewing, Clinical Wellness Coaching, clinical treatment planning for individuals, systems, and communities, safety planning, Zero Suicide intervention, and a range of cognitive behavioral therapies that address developmental and trauma-related needs.
Her practice is grounded in a trauma-informed lens. She begins by meeting clients where they are and prioritizing safety, then moves into a wellness-oriented, integrative approach tailored to each person. Somatic therapies and psychoeducation are commonly used alongside talk therapies to support healing and skill-building.
When a treatment plan is in place, Angela draws on a holistic blend of methods – including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment approaches, behavioral activation, strengths-based work, family systems, and expressive arts – adapting interventions to the unique needs of the client.
She has extensive experience supporting people with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting challenges, motivation and engagement, self-esteem concerns, and confidence building. Angela approaches care with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and she tailors conversation and treatment plans to fit each individual’s specific goals and circumstances.
Taking the first step toward therapy can require courage, and Angela acknowledges and respects that decision as an important beginning on the path to change.
