About

Hello! My name is Adam Sutton-King and I am a Person-Centred based counselling, BACP registered in the UK with over 6 years of professional work experience.

I have experience with helping clients work through a variety of issues and concerns related to; anxiety, stress, low mood, problematic relational patterns and dynamics impacting relationships, low self-esteem and confidence.

My counselling style is empathic towards your experiencing, non-judgmental, compassionate and honest with reflection and gentle challenge. Essentially my aim is to provide you with a safe space for you to begin to feel more comfortable in opening up at your pace through feeling listened to, heard and understood. Sessions are at your pace and led by what you wish to and feel comfortable enough to share with me. The way I work places you as the expert of YOU, in that you know yourself better than anyone. While I am not able to tell you what to do or give you advice, I can work with you in helping exploring more into what you are experiencing, providing psycho-educational information when relevant that may helpful for gaining more understanding around this and supporting you in identifying and connecting to the many strengths within you that can help work towards moving beyond the things that you are finding difficult and challenging in your life right now. Certain life events and experiences can often block feeling capable to do this but counselling can be beneficial towards gaining clarity and understanding for reconnecting you with who you are and doing what is best for you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional face-to-face sessions.

A major benefit is practicality – clients can choose the format that best suits their needs, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy lives and maintain continuity of care.

Therapy offered online is delivered by licensed professionals and therapists, and clients are free to change therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit. The combination of proven effectiveness and adaptable delivery makes online therapy a viable option for many people seeking support.
