I began private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 1991, helping people find their individual voice within themselves and their relationships. My work with people is relational and focuses on the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns in thinking that cause us distress in our daily lives. Timothy McIntyre is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Missouri and Illinois who has provided psychotherapy for a wide range of issues and populations for more than 20 years. He earned a Master in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago and has worked in private practice, group practice, and corporate settings, which has expanded his understanding of work-related stressors.
His therapeutic approach is relational and centers on the thoughts, beliefs, and habitual patterns that often generate distress in everyday life. He partners with individuals to explore how they have adapted to life, to identify what strategies continue to serve them and what no longer does, and to help them find their individual voice within themselves and their relationships.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy truly makes a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to produce results comparable to traditional in-person sessions.
One notable advantage is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits them best, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide care online, and clients are free to switch therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit.
