Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello and welcome!
My name is Ellen Minter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working in the helping profession for 17 years. Over the years, I have worked with various populations in various capacities. In addition to being a therapist, I have spent time as a teacher, sexual assault victim advocate, hospice social worker, and direct support professional for the developmentally disabled. I learned many things in these roles and it is those things, accompanied with my own personal life experiences that have most equipped me with the necessary skills and understanding to help you navigate the transitions of your life.
My therapeutic style is humorous, warm, and direct. While my role may be to help you feel better, I find that minimizing and appeasement are counterproductive to that goal. Always, I am honest and direct. I am very open-minded and I try to be respectful of all I work with. I have a bit of a multi-modal approach. I find that various techniques from different approaches, can work in conjunction in different situations.
Life is hard and unpredictable. I hope to help make things easier for you.

Ellen Minter is a licensed clinical social worker who brings three years of direct experience in therapy. She holds clinical social work licenses in Indiana and an independent clinical social work license in Massachusetts, reflecting her formal qualifications to support clients through therapeutic work.
Before focusing on therapy, Ellen worked in several helping roles including teaching, sexual assault victim advocacy, hospice social work, and as a direct support professional for people with developmental disabilities. Those roles, together with her own life experiences, have contributed to the practical skills and empathy she applies when helping people navigate meaningful transitions.
Her therapeutic style blends warmth and humor with straightforward honesty. Ellen believes that minimizing problems or simply appeasing discomfort often slows progress, so she aims to be candid and respectful while remaining open-minded. She uses a multi-modal approach, drawing on techniques from different therapeutic traditions to fit each person and situation.
Ellen focuses on making difficult moments more manageable and helping clients move toward clearer, more workable ways of living.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online makes a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is convenience – clients can choose the connection method that best suits them, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide online care, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they are seeking a different fit.
