About

Hi! My name is Terri Beard and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University. Go RED RAIDERS!! My experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, career challenges, mood disorders, substance use issues, and OCD. I would describe my approach as empathetic, goal oriented, and client centered. I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution focused therapy, LGBTQ+ Affirming and Motivational interviewing to help my clients set goals and objectives, work through their traumas, and feel empowered once they have met their goals. I enjoy helping people through challenging situations. I provide a warm and non-judgmental environment, allowing us to better work together and reach your goals. Everyone deserves to have someone they can easily talk to; let me be that person for you. I look forward to working with you and guiding you in meeting your therapeutic goals.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and adapting to life changes – online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care. A major benefit is the flexibility it offers. Clients can choose the communication method that fits their life and comfort level, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging, which makes attending sessions easier around work, family, and other commitments. Licensed professionals provide these services, and if a different fit is desired at any time, switching therapists is an option. Online therapy can make consistent, professional support more accessible while keeping the focus on meaningful progress toward personal goals.
