Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, I’m Dr. Shelia Rivers, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s & Doctorate in Social Work and a Master’s in Public Health. I am licensed in both Louisiana and Mississippi, and I bring over 15 years of professional experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. My work has focused on supporting clients through stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, depression, and major life transitions. While my areas of expertise are trauma, women’s mental health, and developing effective coping skills, I welcome all individuals seeking support—because healing is never one-size-fits-all.
I created Girl Get Your Life Together, a wellness-based program designed to help women shift from survival mode to a life that feels purposeful, grounded, and whole. My approach to therapy is compassionate, honest, and collaborative. I use evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused interventions, and solution-focused techniques to guide you toward meaningful growth. I prioritize creating an open and safe environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings freely, without fear of judgment.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage—and I’m proud of you for getting started. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for a change, I’m here to walk with you through the healing process and help you create the life you deserve.

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns like stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that feels most comfortable, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into daily life.
All therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they would like a different fit.
