Zoe Hewlett

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

With over 15 years’ experience working with clients in various modaities, from mentoring and life coaching to therapeutic counselling.

I am a registered member of the BACP with a specialisation in CBT providing the skills to offer a wide range of low, medium and high-level therapeutic interventions. I have dedicated my professional life towards supporting people, working in a wide range of settings and encountering many cultures.

I offer bespoke support and intervention for those who need additional provision, working one to one with individuals to build resilience and coping skills so they can manage their day to day lives and succeed with reaching their goals. I am often implementing action plans for specifically tailored support ranging from day-to-day issues through to more significantly challenging mental health issues.

I have experience working with clients with a variety of mental health conditions, including those currently experiencing homelessness – living in an emergency housing shelter. These cases are often complex and require dedicated care and the ability to manage the risk associated with homelessness and any associated problems that may impact clients or arise as a result of their situation.

At present I mainly work evenings and weekends, with the occasional daytime sessions are available on request. I am happy to discuss a time that suits you best and try to work to that, rather than having lots of open session slots on the online calendar – so please ask if you cant find a time you’d like!

About

Zoe Hewlett is a BACP-registered therapist with a specialisation in CBT and 5 years’ experience supporting people through a range of therapeutic approaches. She has worked across various modalities including mentoring, life coaching and therapeutic counselling, and brings that breadth into her sessions.

She has built her professional practice around providing tailored, one-to-one support that helps clients develop resilience and practical coping skills. Zoe frequently implements individually tailored action plans, offering interventions that address everyday difficulties as well as more significant mental health challenges.

Zoe has experience supporting people with diverse needs and in a variety of settings, including work with clients who are living in emergency housing shelters. Those referrals can be complex and require careful risk management and sustained attention to issues that arise from unstable housing.

Her areas of practice include stress, anxiety, LGBT concerns, relationship and intimacy-related issues, self-esteem and depression, family and trauma-related difficulties, grief, eating and career-related matters, coping with life changes, and ADHD. She is a female therapist who also works with gay clients and draws on her CBT training and BACP membership to offer structured, evidence-informed help.

Zoe mainly holds sessions in the evenings and at weekends, with occasional daytime appointments available on request. She is willing to discuss scheduling to find times that suit individual clients rather than relying solely on open calendar slots.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people want to know whether remote therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.

One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their life, whether that is video consultations, phone appointments, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to maintain continuity of care without rearranging work, travel or family commitments.

Therapists who offer online work are licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists if they feel a different approach would be a better fit. For many people, remote therapy provides practical access to skilled support while offering a variety of ways to engage with treatment.
