Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I’m Daniel, a counsellor from Hampshire, England. I have been working as a therapist for three years, working with a diverse client base and range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties and more. I consider anxiety, gender and sexuality, and trauma to be my areas of most experience.
My therapeutic style is considered integrative, but is closest to person-centred. This means our sessions may look conversational rather than medical, and I will provide an environment that feels safe, non-judgemental and open to dialogue. Therapy may be challenging at times, and I aim to make those challenges manageable. This approach is integrated with a more exploratory style where appropriate, psychodynamic work specifically, and the more direct style of CBT if that is your preference.
Reaching out for support can feel like a difficult step, so I am happy to work with you to make that step as comfortable as possible.

Daniel Hutton Liens is a counsellor based in Hampshire, England, with five years of clinical experience.
He works with a diverse range of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, grief and relationship difficulties, and has particular experience supporting people with anxiety, matters of gender and sexuality, and trauma.
His practice is integrative and sits closest to a person-centred approach, so sessions tend to feel conversational rather than clinical. He aims to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where open dialogue is welcome and where therapeutic challenges are paced to remain manageable.
Where appropriate, his work incorporates exploratory psychodynamic elements and can include a more direct cognitive-behavioural (CBT) style if that is preferred. He is willing to work collaboratively to make the first steps into therapy as comfortable as possible.
