These help you to develop awareness and tools for coping and managing life and life’s issues. They enable you to take steps forward rather than remaining stuck or struggling.
I am friendly warm and approachable, so you need not worry, you are in safe hands.
*If you cant see a time slot that works for you just ask for a suitable day/time that works for you and I will do my best to accommodate it.
I have additional Diplomas in in ADHD. Autism. Attachment theory. Bereavement. Borderline Personality Disorder. Bipolar Disorder. Couples Counselling. Relationship Psychology, Inner Child Healing. Life Coaching. Mindfulness. Narcissism. Perinatal Mental Health and Young Peoples mental health.
I have many years experience of working with women and women’s health issues- encompassing anxiety, depression, low self esteem, sleep, stress and body image, well as work problems, family life and relationship issues.
I come from a Nursing & Midwifery background and have experience in Fertility difficulties, Pregnancy, Baby loss and Birth trauma.
I am currently completing the Foundation for Infant Loss Practitioner Training and Fertility Specialist Training. I am also an experienced Bereavement Counsellor.
I worked as a Nurse & Midwife prior to becoming a counsellor and I understand the pain women feel when they are struggling to become pregnant or have lost a baby and how that might impact upon their relationship or feelings about themselves or their partners. I can help you to improve your communication skills and to reconnect with your partner. I also work with couples.
I understand the trauma of baby loss and birth trauma, how hard it can be to talk to friends and family, how difficult it can be to be honest with them, how you may need to explore things that you don’t want to share with those close to you and how you may need to talk to a professional independently, in order to do that. You do not need to be alone with your pain.
I understand the struggles of new parent hood and of breastfeeding, postnatal depression and self doubt, exhaustion and sleepless nights.
So often women who experience birth trauma and difficult deliveries, feel they have no one to talk to about this.
Sometimes new dads feel the birth has left them traumatized too, I understand this and can help you process your thoughts and feelings, I can give you the time and space you need to talk through these issues in confidence, help you with practical ideas and support you through a difficult time.
New parenthood can be a difficult time, there are a lot of new adjustments and it changes the dynamics of a relationship – we can explore this. I want to use this knowledge and expertise within the counselling field to help people with these issues.
As a nurse and have worked with people experiencing health anxieties and with ladies experiencing menopausal problems, hot flushes, frustrations and feelings of anger, anxiety and low confidence. As well as brain fog and cognitive issues. Talking about these experiences can really help, as so often we stay silent and suffer alone.
*You may be suffering a life limiting illness and want to talk through the things which worry you about the future or need help to plan the end you want. But don’t feel able to discuss this with loved ones.
*I have worked with a National Bereavement Service and understand your feelings of grief, anticipatory grief, as well as bereavement.
*I can help you to process those feelings and understand grief and offer ways to help you through it.
*If you have lost a loved one I can help you to live with the love that is left behind and to process your thoughts and feelings in a healthy and healing way.
*I can also help with grief from pet loss as it is as real and intense as the loss of a human companion. “The depth of the grief reflects the depth of the bond”.
*I am a kind, warm and caring person and counsellor. You can talk to me in confidence and will feel safe and at ease. So what are you waiting for? Reach out today and let me help you on your journey.

Tina Elliston is a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Life Coach who works individually with clients to address their specific needs. She keeps client numbers low to build a strong therapeutic relationship and to focus on personalised outcomes. Tina draws on counselling skills, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to help clients set their own goals and make practical plans to reach them.
She supports people to work at their own pace – in bite-sized steps with no pressure or deadlines – while checking in regularly, suggesting worksheets or articles and offering feedback to reinforce learning. These practical tasks are used to develop awareness and coping tools so clients can move forward rather than remain stuck.
Tina is warm and approachable and aims to create a safe space for people to talk. If a suitable appointment slot is not shown, she encourages prospective clients to ask for alternative days or times and will do her best to accommodate requests.
She holds additional diplomas in ADHD, Autism, Attachment Theory, Bereavement, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Couples Counselling, Relationship Psychology, Inner Child Healing, Life Coaching, Mindfulness, Narcissism, Perinatal Mental Health and Young People’s mental health. With five years of professional experience, Tina has worked extensively with women and with issues affecting women’s health, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, sleep difficulties, stress, body image, workplace problems, family life and relationship challenges.
Before training as a counsellor she worked in Nursing and Midwifery and has clinical experience with fertility difficulties, pregnancy, baby loss and birth trauma. She is an experienced bereavement counsellor and is currently completing the Foundation for Infant Loss Practitioner Training and Fertility Specialist Training. Her clinical background informs her understanding of how pregnancy loss or fertility struggles can affect self-image and relationships, and she offers support to improve communication and help couples reconnect.
Tina recognises the trauma that can follow baby loss or difficult births and the barriers people often face when talking to friends and family. She offers a space to explore thoughts and feelings that clients may prefer not to share with loved ones, and she emphasises that no one needs to carry that pain alone.
She also supports new parents through the challenges of early parenthood – including breastfeeding difficulties, postnatal depression, self-doubt, exhaustion and sleepless nights – and can work with fathers who feel traumatised by birth experiences. Tina provides time, space and practical ideas to process feelings and to navigate the changes in relationship dynamics that accompany becoming parents.
In addition, Tina has worked with people experiencing health anxiety and with women experiencing menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, frustration, anger, anxiety, low confidence, brain fog and cognitive difficulties. She encourages talking about these experiences as a way to reduce isolation and to find better ways of coping. She is also available to support people facing life-limiting illness who wish to talk through worries about the future or to plan the end of life they want but who do not feel able to discuss these matters with loved ones.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or coping with life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person work.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the mode of connection that fits their life, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to attend sessions and to maintain continuity of care.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they want a different fit. For many people, online work offers a practical, effective route to access therapy and to progress with their goals.
