Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My approach is warm and practical and is informed by different therapeutic models.
I am a pluralistic counsellor: What that means, really, is that I use different approaches depending on what works best for you and we aren’t bound by one single approach. In the first session, we create an understanding about what is important for you and clearly define what you would like from the sessions. We then regularly review the direction of your sessions to see that things are moving in the direction that you would like. The advantage of my approach is that we can change the way that we approach problems based on how therapy develops.
My philosophy around counselling is that it is your journey and that you are the expert of your own experience, My role is to offer a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space where the problem can be understood through different lenses and tools. Common approaches I use to help clients include Mindfulness-Based approaches, CBT, Psychodynamic Theory, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Counselling and Humanistic approaches.
I have experience in working short-term (even planned single-session therapy) and long-term work depending on what is wanted. However, there is always a focus to sessions with an understanding of why the meetings are taking place.
My background is Behavioural Management and Support Work with over 10 years experience. I am educated to BSc degree and hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I have post-qualification Diplomas in CBT, REBT, Child and Adolescent Counselling, Solution-Focused Couples Counselling, and Mindfulness Competency to Teach Diplomas for Children and Adults.
I look forward to meeting with you!

Byron Harris offers a warm, practical counselling style that draws on a range of therapeutic models. As a pluralistic counsellor, he adapts his methods to suit what works best for each person rather than adhering to a single framework, and he uses that flexibility to change course as therapy develops.
In the first session he establishes what matters most to the client and agrees clear goals for the work ahead, with regular reviews to ensure meetings remain focused and move in the desired direction. He provides a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space where concerns can be understood through different lenses and practical tools.
Common approaches he uses include Mindfulness-Based methods, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, solution-focused therapy, motivational counselling and humanistic approaches. He is experienced in both short-term work, including planned single-session therapy, and longer-term work when that is preferred, always keeping an emphasis on purposeful sessions.
Byron’s background is in Behavioural Management and Support Work, with over 10 years of experience in that field. He holds a BSc degree and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and has post-qualification diplomas in CBT, REBT, Child and Adolescent Counselling, Solution-Focused Couples Counselling, and Mindfulness Competency to Teach Diplomas for Children and Adults. He has seven years of counselling experience and is based in the United Kingdom. He looks forward to meeting you.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. It is a practical option for addressing these everyday mental health matters.
A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility. People can choose the format that suits them best and fits into their routine, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to maintain continuity of care around work, family and other commitments.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals and therapists, and clients may change therapists if they prefer a different fit. The combination of evidence-based approaches and flexible delivery helps many people access consistent support without the constraints of travel or scheduling that can come with in-person care.
