Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, I’m Liz! I’m a licensed LSCSW in Kansas City with 10 years of professional experience. I graduated from K-State with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2013 and my Masters from KU in Clinical Social Work in 2016. I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders and body image, trauma and abuse, domestic violence, relationships, boundaries, improving communication and everyday stressors. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet your needs and go at your own pace. I’m a strong believer in the client having autonomy while in therapy; we will always start with your goals and I will meet you where you’re at. I am here to be a support in whatever your journey may be.
A little bit about myself:
I have a cat and French bulldog who might occasionally pop theirs faces into session to say hello. I enjoy going with the flow and being laid back. My ideal weekend would be hiking in the Rocky Mountains.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy is a big one, so congratulations! I would love to work with you if you feel I’d be a good fit. Even if you just want to meet to see if we click- finding the right therapist is really important. Welcome to Better Help and I hope to talk to you soon.
Modalities I use are CBT, EMDR, SFBT, TF-CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems

Elizabeth “Liz” Gray is a licensed clinical social worker based in Kansas with ten years of professional experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kansas State University (2013) and a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work from the University of Kansas (2016).
Liz works with people coping with anxiety, depression, eating disorders and body image concerns, trauma and abuse, domestic violence, relationship and family conflicts, grief, low self-esteem, career difficulties, compassion fatigue, and the everyday stressors that come with life changes. She also supports clients who want to improve boundaries and communication.
Her approach is client-centered and paced to each person’s needs, emphasizing client autonomy and beginning therapy by identifying the individual’s goals. Liz draws on a range of evidence-based methods to match treatment to those goals, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and family systems approaches.
Outside of work she is laid back and enjoys going with the flow; she shares her home with a cat and a French bulldog who may occasionally pop their faces into a session to say hello. Her ideal weekend involves hiking in the Rocky Mountains.
Taking the first step toward therapy is significant, and Liz welcomes the opportunity to meet and see if she is a good fit. She is available to support clients wherever they are in their journey.
Many people wonder whether virtual therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect in the format that fits their life and comfort level – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to attend regularly and work therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists at any time if they need a different fit. Online options make it simpler to find a therapist whose experience and approach match the client’s needs.
Overall, online therapy offers an accessible, adaptable way to address everyday mental health concerns while maintaining the quality of care that clients expect from licensed therapists.
