Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Welcome! You are taking one of the hardest steps to improving your mental health; you have started the search for a counselor. I applaud you for taking the first step, wish you luck with your journey, and hope that you find what you are looking for. My name is Shari, and I am honored that you have considered me to have the chance to come with you on your journey.
My experience includes individual, group, and family therapy in residential and outpatient settings of community mental health agencies. I would summarize my therapeutic approach as positive, strength based, and person centered. I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Existential Therapy, Eco Psychology, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Positive Psychology, and Strength-Based Therapy. I believe strongly in the power to heal from the things around us. Incorporating non-traditional items or techniques within therapy to help tailor the therapy to what is going to help each person I work with in their own unique way.
To end, the therapeutic relationship is a unique dynamic that you don’t find within your other social or profession relationships. Building a therapeutic relationship requires authenticity, communication, trust, commitment, and respect. Finding a therapist can be a daunting task so I again celebrate you for starting the journey and wish you well.

Many people wonder whether connecting with a therapist remotely can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life transitions, research indicates that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main advantages is convenience and flexibility. People can choose the format that fits their routines and comfort level – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to attend sessions consistently.
All therapists working online are licensed professionals, and if a client feels a different fit would be better, they can switch therapists at any time. For many, remote therapy offers a practical, effective way to get support while balancing everyday responsibilities.
