Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a licensed professional counselor with an additional certification as a certified complex trauma professional. I graduated from Chestnut Hill College with my M.S. in clinical and counseling psychology in 2016. I have been practicing for 6 years and have significant experience working with addiction issues, traumatic experiences including PTSD, codependency, depression and anxiety, along with other mental health concerns. I believe in a person centered, trauma-informed approach. I recognize all aspects of the individual and work to bring about awareness as to how our past experiences impact the manner in which we interact with others in adulthood. I believe in recognizing the needs of the individual, working together with the client to identify treatment goals and developing a treatment plan that is tailored to those unique and specific needs, while being flexible to allow for any changes needed over the course of treatment.
I believe in the ability for us as individuals to make behavioral changes and will work alongside you to help you grow and reach your identified goals. I would describe myself as open-minded, non-judgmental, compassionate and empathetic. I value the building of the therapeutic relationship, recognizing the importance of honesty and respect through the process. I hope to work with you in your own healing journey.
Please be kind to yourself,
Alisha Barnes

Many people ask whether online therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that fits their needs and comfort level – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy life.
Therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, offering the same professional standards you would expect in person. If the fit does not feel right, you can switch therapists at any time to find a better match.
