My hope and intention is to be of assistance to those who are open to change and healing. We all go through experiences that may leave residual hurts, lingering pain, confusion or even a need for re-discovery. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience and have an eclectic style in my approach to therapy. I work to help those gain insight, stimulate change and create new connections while being a witness and support throughout their journey.
My specialties include Anxiety, Functional Depression, Trauma, Personal Growth & Life Changes. I have experience working with those who struggle with (but not limited to): various mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety & post traumatic stress, sexual violence, trauma, abuse, coping with life stressors, grief & loss, and relationship issues.
I have worked with individuals, families and couples, professionally and voluntarily, in providing various modalities of therapy facilitated on a local and international level. The variety of techniques I provide are as follows: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Play Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, Art Therapy, Faith-based Spirituality, Motivational Interviewing and the Gottman Level I method all which are directed by the needs and goals established by the client.

With 14 years of clinical experience, Onessa brings an eclectic, client-centered approach that aims to foster insight, encourage meaningful change, and help clients form new connections in their lives. She holds a Master of Arts and is a licensed clinical social worker, credentialed to practice in both Massachusetts and Florida.
Onessa works with a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, depression, family conflicts, grief, parenting challenges, anger management, career difficulties, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, and ADHD. She has experience treating various mental health conditions such as post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety, and she supports people affected by sexual violence, abuse, grief, and relationship struggles.
Her practice includes individual, family, and couples work, conducted in both professional and volunteer settings at local and international levels.
