I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and parenting problems . I am also trained to work with people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My therapy style is consent based and tailored to your particular needs. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and somatic therapy.
Your symptoms of anxiety, depression, and anger are your body’s way of telling you something’s not right! As a child, you may have experienced some sort of failure in your relationships or environment. These failures may have caused you to compensate by creating strategies to survive. Maybe you consider yourself a perfectionist, or maybe you find that you give more than you receive, or perhaps you just feel disconnected from yourself and everyone around you? The pain you are experiencing is real, and coping with it just isn’t working anymore.
You’re not alone! If you are looking to feel connected and alive again, I offer a heartfelt approach to truly understanding what your core dilemma is, and guide you towards healing your emotional wounds.
Looking forward to working with you!

He works with people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse and adapts his care to each person’s needs through consent-based, individualized therapy. He engages clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and avoids using stigmatizing labels. His clinical approach blends cognitive-behavioral techniques, psychodynamic perspectives, and somatic methods to address thoughts, emotions, and bodily experience.
Steven views symptoms of anxiety, depression, and anger as signals that something in a person’s life or relationships needs attention. He recognizes that early relational or environmental failures can lead people to develop survival strategies such as perfectionism, overgiving, or emotional disconnection. He acknowledges that the pain clients feel is real and that previous coping strategies may no longer be effective.
Using a heartfelt, exploratory approach, Steven aims to help clients identify their core dilemma and support them in healing emotional wounds. He is a state-licensed clinical professional counselor (license LCPC-8489) and looks forward to working with clients who want to feel more connected and alive again.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person treatment.
One of the clearest advantages is scheduling flexibility. Clients can meet with therapists in the format that best fits their life – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to maintain regular care.
Licensed professionals provide care through these remote formats, and if a client feels the fit is not right, it is possible to switch to a different therapist. For many people, online therapy offers a practical, effective way to address everyday mental health concerns while fitting treatment into a busy schedule.
