Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in Colorado and Louisiana with 4 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with LGBTQIA2 related issues, family conflicts, ADHD issues, & career difficulties.
Let me explain a little more about these areas of focus. I have training within systems and family conflicts due to my license of being an LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am skilled in recognizing patterns; most of my clients and families have told me this during our work together. I have experience working with people of the LGBTQIA2 community and helping individuals and families navigate their sexuality or gender identity. Another area in which I am passionate about is helping individuals who have been clinically diagnosed with ADHD move through a world in a more ADHD friendly manner. Let’s work with your brain rather than against it. Lastly, in regards to career matters the way in which I often find myself helping clients is related to matters such as boundary setting and work life balance.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. As we spend more time together on your mental health journey you will notice that I value laughter and often this is found in my sessions.
Have you heard of the statement you can give someone a fish and feed them for a day or you can teach them to fish and feed them for a lifetime? That viewpoint is a visual example of how in therapy the work is helping you, the person reading my bio, learn how to interact in a healthier and more sustainable way rather than providing you direct answers. With that being said, it takes courage and immense amount of bravery to seek out a more fulfilling and authentic life by taking the first steps towards a change. I am here to support, challenge, and empower you in that journey.

Trinity Burns is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Colorado and Louisiana, holding the credential LA LMFT MFT1524 and bringing four years of professional experience to her clinical work. She sees clients in Louisiana and focuses on a range of concerns including LGBT and LGBTQIA2 issues, family and parenting challenges, career concerns, ADHD, stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, grief, self-esteem, depression, coping with life changes, coaching, and compassion fatigue.
Because she is an LMFT – a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist – Trinity has training in systems and family dynamics, and she uses that background to help people identify recurring patterns in their relationships and daily life. She is skilled at recognizing those patterns, a strength she has noticed repeatedly during her work with clients and families.
Trinity has experience supporting individuals and families as they explore sexuality and gender identity within the LGBTQIA2 community, and she offers affirmative assistance to gay clients as part of that work. She is also passionate about supporting people who have been diagnosed with ADHD, helping them adapt routines and strategies so they can move through the world in ways that suit how their brain works – focusing on working with the brain rather than against it.
In career-related work Trinity often helps clients with boundary setting and finding healthier work-life balance. Her approach is collaborative and skills-based; she aims to teach sustainable ways of interacting and coping rather than simply providing direct answers. Trinity cultivates an open, nonjudgmental space where thoughts and feelings can be expressed, and she values bringing moments of laughter into the therapeutic process.
Seeking change takes courage, and Trinity is available to support, challenge, and empower clients as they pursue a more fulfilling and authentic life.
Many people wonder whether connecting with a therapist online can actually help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can meet in the way that fits their life and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to access support from wherever you are.
Licensed professionals provide care through these remote formats, and clients have the option to change therapists if they decide they need a different fit. Online therapy offers practical access and adaptable formats while maintaining the same clinical goals many seek in face-to-face work.
