Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Stacey Tweedt, MA Psychotherapy, LPCC, LADC-S; When we give our power away or shrink ourselves, it creates a vacuum & we are compelled to fill it somehow (surrendering to others, losing ourselves in relationships, addictions or dysfunctional /sabotaging behaviors). We react by either processing or projecting it & this pattern will continue to repeat itself until it is addressed. That pattern prevents a major human function from happening, which is to feel the truth of all our feelings to some degree. Both men & women, boys & girls are shamed away from feelings, often through violence, abuse or neglect whether by families or culture.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor & Addictions (LADC-S) Counselor-that has worked in the fields of addiction, corrections, social work and mental health recovery for 15+ years, providing clinical services in a wide array of settings. As a therapist, my goal is to empower clients to build fulfilling, values-rich lives. I work with individuals and couples in recovery (The Gottman Method Certified Levels 1&2).
We will work together to develop insight, identify personal values, and implement skills that will foster growth. I use an integrated approach including; Gottman Therapy, Adlerian, Schema Based, Solution Focused, Cognitive Processing, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory-Informed, Mindfulness and other skills based therapies/interventions to support learning, symptom management.
I approach therapy with directness and a sense of humor. I’ve learned much about the human experience — no one is immune to suffering. Everyone experiences pain. We are resilient & we are all deserving of happiness.

Stacey Tweedt frames her work around the idea that when people give their power away or shrink themselves, a vacuum forms that often gets filled in harmful ways – surrendering to others, losing oneself in relationships, turning to addictions, or repeating dysfunctional and sabotaging behaviors. Those responses tend to involve either processing or projecting emotions, and the pattern will keep repeating until it is addressed.
She notes that this dynamic can prevent a central human function – feeling the truth of one’s emotions to some degree. Men, women, boys, and girls are frequently shamed away from feelings, sometimes through violence, abuse, or neglect coming from families or cultural norms.
Stacey is a licensed counselor in Minnesota (MN LCPC 4087) and brings 17 years of clinical experience working in addiction, corrections, social work, and mental health recovery across a wide array of settings.
She works with individuals and couples in recovery and holds Gottman Method certification at Levels 1 and 2. Her therapeutic aim is to empower people to build fulfilling, values-rich lives by developing insight, identifying personal values, and practicing skills that support ongoing growth.
Her approach is integrative and skills-oriented, drawing from Gottman Therapy, Adlerian concepts, schema-based work, solution-focused techniques, cognitive processing, somatic experiencing, polyvagal theory-informed methods, mindfulness, and other interventions to support learning and symptom management.
Stacey brings directness and a sense of humor to the therapy room. She recognizes that suffering is a universal part of the human experience, and she believes people are resilient and deserving of happiness.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One of the principal benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists at any time if they want a different fit.
