Young adulthood is a distinct life phase marked by big decisions, new responsibilities, and shifting relationships. For many people, the years between late teens and the early 30s involve leaving home, starting higher education or a career, forming long-term partnerships, and figuring out identity and values. These changes can be energizing and liberating, but they can also be stressful, confusing, and overwhelming.
Therapy for young adults focuses on the emotional, practical, and psychological challenges that come with this stage of life. Assess logistics: confirm that they provide online sessions in your state or region, check availability that fits your schedule, and ask about session formats (video, phone, messaging). It’s reasonable to request a brief consultation to see whether the therapist’s style and approach feel comfortable.
