Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in New York with 13 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, life changes, issues with body image and weight loss, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. My therapeutic style is fairly laid back and more personable while upholding professional guidelines and practices. My approach often, but not always, includes relating back to childhood roles and family dynamics as a way to help individuals understand how those things sometimes inform how one views themselves and informs choices one makes. At times, I will focus on patterns in a persons life in an effort to find the common denominator. I do not help answer “why” questions….but I do help answer “how” questions. “Why” questions are accusatory but “how” questions are inquisitive. For example, asking yourself, “Why did I do that when I knew it was going to be bad for me?” Only serves to accuse you of doing something wrong. Asking yourself, “How did I manage to convince myself to do that when I knew it was going to be bad for me” is a great way to explore all the things that informed your decision. When we know how we did something, we can then figure out how to do things differently. No matter what, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking this first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Shannon Early is a licensed clinical social worker in New York (NY LCSW 087046) with 13 years of professional experience. She provides therapy for stress and anxiety, relationship concerns, depression, self-esteem and confidence struggles, and coping with life changes, and she also addresses addiction, body image and weight loss issues, trauma and abuse, and motivation.
Her therapeutic style is personable and relatively laid back while maintaining professional standards and practices. Shannon often, though not always, explores childhood roles and family dynamics to help clients understand how early experiences can influence self-view and decision-making.
She frequently focuses on identifying patterns in a person’s life to locate common denominators. Rather than dwelling on accusatory why questions, Shannon helps clients examine how questions – for example, looking at the steps and influences that led to a choice – so they can learn how to make different choices going forward.
Shannon tailors dialogue and treatment plans to each individual’s specific needs. She recognizes that beginning therapy takes courage and affirms the importance of taking that first step.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. This makes remote therapy a viable option for people seeking support for these issues.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that suits them best, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if someone feels they need a different fit, they can switch therapists at any time. For many people, remote therapy delivers practical access to consistent, professional care without sacrificing therapeutic effectiveness.
