Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have been in counseling for over 40 years while starting out in the church setting. I became a licensed professional counselor about 17 years ago in order to specialize in certain types of counseling. For the past fifteen years, I have been handling Child Protective Services cases. These have involved family dysfunction, addiction, and abuse of different types. I continue to do religious counseling for people searching for spiritual meaning in life.
I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in theology. I also have a professional counseling degree in psychology. I was a senior pastor of a evangelical church for forty-three years. I have seen the best and worst in people. I have also seen it in myself.
I believe that all people have a positive and successful self. It may take some time to find that person within someone, but it is well worth the search.
I use Cognitive-Behavioral therapy as well as Rogerian therapy. Carl Rogers believed that all people deserved to be treated with respect and compassion. I care personally for the clients that I see and invest myself in their wellness.

Sam believes every person has a positive and successful self to discover – a process that can take time but is worthwhile – and he invests personally in the wellbeing of the people he sees.
Many people ask whether meeting with a therapist online truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life transitions, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
A major benefit is the flexibility to connect in the way that fits a person’s schedule and comfort level – through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to include therapy in a busy life and to maintain consistent support over time.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they prefer a different fit. For many people, the combination of clinical expertise and adaptable access makes online therapy a practical and effective choice for addressing everyday mental health concerns.
