Saira Asif

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Welcome. I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of BACP. I have been working for over 6 years.

I have experience supporting client through different presenting issues; Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Bereavement, Abuse, Relationship, Bullying, Anger, Low self esteem, Eating disorder, Self harm and Gender dysphoria.

Although I specialise in CBT, I use integrative approach tailoring to clients need, it encourages to tell their story in a confidential and safe environment. Counselling does not provide answers or solutions to their problems but it does offer an opportunity to express and to explore feelings, thought and experiences. It is a supportive relationship built on trust and available to use and enable client to make informed choices. It can also help to progress, develop a positive attitude and build confidence and self-esteem to live a happy and healthier life.

I am positive, caring and I have patience and a willingness to listen and engage. I am trustworthy, reliable, non-judgmental, attune to people I work with and punctual with a problem solving attitude, that I believe equips me with the skills and quality to be a good therapist.

You do not need to have a build up of major problem or an issue to start talking therapy. You can benefit from it even if it is for a one session.

I look forward to speaking with you.

About

She is a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Based in the United Kingdom, Saira Asif brings eight years of clinical experience supporting people with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, bereavement, abuse, relationship difficulties, bullying, anger, low self-esteem, eating difficulties, self-harm and gender dysphoria.

While she specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Saira uses an integrative approach that is adapted to each person’s needs. Her way of working encourages clients to tell their story within a safe and supportive setting, offering space to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences rather than handing down simple solutions.

Punctuality and a problem-solving attitude are features of her work, which she believes support clients in making informed choices, building confidence and developing a more positive outlook on life.

People do not need to be facing a major crisis to benefit from talking therapy, and Saira is available for single sessions as well as ongoing work. She looks forward to speaking with prospective clients.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether remote counselling can truly help. For common issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or coping with life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. A key benefit is flexibility – you can connect in the way that works best for you, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life. All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and it is possible to switch to a different therapist at any time if you feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy offers a practical route to regular support and can be a helpful option for many people seeking change.
