Rosemary Kells earned a Master of Applied Behavioral Science with a Systems Counseling focus from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. She completed her clinical internship at Preferred Child & Family Services in Twin Falls, Idaho and pursued additional postgraduate workshops and courses through the University of Washington.
Her training also includes important clinical experience gained through therapy at Virginia Mason Medical Center Behavioral Health Services in Seattle. She is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Idaho, holding the LPC credential LPC-3954.
Rosemary uses an eclectic therapeutic approach grounded in person-centered and psychodynamic principles. Her work draws on problem-solving and goal-setting techniques while strengthening communication skills. She and the client examine recurring patterns of thoughts and feelings that originate in family of origin and consider how those patterns affect current relationships.
She approaches therapy as a collaborative process, helping clients increase self-awareness, develop more effective coping strategies, and reduce troubling emotions and interpersonal conflicts.
