Robin is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping others on their journey toward wellness. Having an undergraduate degree in Business, Robin began her career working as a Managed Care Coordinator for a foster care agency in the Lehigh Valley. Finding enjoyment in working with the underserved community, Robin went on to complete a Master of Arts in Counseling.
Early in her counseling career, Robin gained valuable experience working with individuals with substance abuse disorders. Robin has served as the Director of the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center in Mercer County, NJ, and been a Clinical Supervisor for unlicensed Master’s level clinicians. Robin has experience counseling individuals with a variety of mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD and bipolar disorder.
Robin has counseled youth in the foster care system and in an inpatient setting at KidsPeace Children’s Hospital. Robin has extensive knowledge of dysfunctional family systems, having started the first ACoA meeting in the Lehigh Valley in 2010. Robin also has experience counseling couples and families and those in the LGBT community.
Robin utilizes an eclectic approach that incorporates elements of cognitive behavior therapy, existential therapy, attachment theory, family systems, and dialectical behavior therapy—along with several other modalities—to assist individuals in managing trauma, depression, anxiety, marital issues and other life challenges. Robin Reinhard is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with ten years of clinical experience. She began her career after earning an undergraduate degree in Business, working as a Managed Care Coordinator for a foster care agency in the Lehigh Valley, and later completed a Master of Arts in Counseling to pursue direct clinical work.
Early in her counseling practice Robin focused on helping people with substance use disorders, and she served as Director of the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center in Mercer County, New Jersey. She has also acted as a clinical supervisor for unlicensed master’s-level clinicians, supporting their development in clinical settings.
Robin has worked with people across a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, ADHD and bipolar disorder. She has counseled youth involved in the foster care system and provided care in an inpatient setting at KidsPeace Children’s Hospital. Robin also started the first Adult Children of Alcoholics meeting in the Lehigh Valley in 2010 and has experience supporting couples, families, and members of the LGBT community.
Her approach is eclectic, drawing on cognitive behavioral techniques, existential ideas, attachment theory, family systems, and dialectical behavior skills along with other therapeutic modalities to address trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns and life transitions. She works collaboratively with clients to develop insight and practical supports that promote a healthy, productive life. She is licensed to provide counseling in Pennsylvania, credentialed as a professional counselor under PA LPC PC009170.
