Hello there! My name is Rachael and I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Alaska with 20 years of experience. I have served clients of all ages. It has been my privilege to support people as they overcome issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, substance use, self-injury, and thoughts of suicide. My goal is to be someone who you feel is listening fully, without judgement, helping you identify your needs and find within yourself the answers that you are seeking. I tend towards a client-centered approach and have found a lot of success in using Motivational Interviewing techniques. You made a great decision to seek help through counseling. It would be an honor to accompany you in this part of your life’s journey.

Many people ask whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, research and practice indicate that therapy delivered remotely can be as effective as traditional in-person services.
An important benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care when schedules or circumstances change.
Therapists offering remote services are licensed professionals, and clients retain the option to change therapists if they need a different match. Online therapy can therefore provide both effective treatment for common concerns and practical access tailored to individual needs.
