Nicole Bebiak is a licensed counselor practicing in Indiana who also holds licensure to provide clinical counseling in Illinois. She recognizes that seeking help takes courage and approaches each new client with respect for that first step toward change.
Nicole earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University in 1999 and brings 23 years of clinical experience to her work. Her background includes roles at a domestic violence center, crisis lines, community mental health agencies, and a private behavioral health hospital, giving her experience across a range of settings and populations.
She works with individuals facing stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, depression, life transitions, LGBT-related issues, family conflict, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, parenting challenges, anger management, bipolar disorder, compassion fatigue, and ADHD. Her goal is to help people find practical ways to manage problems and build safer, more successful lives.
Nicole’s approach is rooted in a client-centered philosophy while drawing on a variety of therapeutic methods to meet each person where they are. She serves as a guide, support, sounding board, and at times a devil’s advocate, offering a nonjudgmental space where issues can be explored and worked through. Rather than handing down ready-made solutions, she partners with clients so they can discover and own the answers that fit their lives.
Over two decades of practice have filled her therapeutic toolbox with techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused work, play therapy - which she uses beyond child populations when appropriate - sand tray work, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and the steady application of empathy. Nicole remains committed to learning and adapting, knowing that different approaches work for different people.
She is based in Indiana and looks forward to supporting clients as they move toward growth and resilience.
Many people ask whether online therapy really helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - you can connect in the way that fits your routine and comfort level, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to schedule care around work, family, and other commitments.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and clients may change therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit. Online therapy offers an accessible option for many people seeking support while keeping the core therapeutic process intact.
