Natasha Hughes is a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) practising in the Liverpool region of the United Kingdom with 15 years of clinical experience. She recognises the courage it takes to seek support and regards it as a privilege to help clients explore their feelings and the behaviours associated with them as they face life’s challenges.
She has worked with adults and young people experiencing a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, post-traumatic stress, substance misuse, mania, hoarding and dissociation related to traumatic events, as well as relationship problems, loss and bereavement. Her experience extends to supporting people from a variety of backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, religions and cultures.
Natasha brings a warm, attentive and non-judgmental counselling style, tailoring a range of therapeutic perspectives to the individual needs of each client. She uses cognitive therapy to help clients understand how thoughts influence feelings and behaviours and to identify unhelpful coping strategies that have developed from past experiences. She also has experience supporting people affected by past trauma and abuse and works with trauma using an EMDR approach.
Committed and compassionate, Natasha aims to help clients work through vulnerabilities toward finding relief and a more fulfilled life, and she would welcome the opportunity to work together.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely help. For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or coping with life changes - online therapy has been shown to be comparable to traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect with a therapist in the way that suits them best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical and accessible route to getting support for everyday mental health concerns.
