Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 5 years of professional experience. My experience includes providing direct mental health and behavioral counseling for kids, teens, and adults with a variety of presenting issues, including stress and anxiety, relationship and family issues, trauma, and abuse. I also help many individuals with increasing their motivation, self-esteem, and confidence.
My therapy style is genuine, dynamic, and interactive. I believe that everyone deserves respect and I take pride in approaching the therapeutic relationship with cultural sensitivity and awareness. As a woman of color, I recognize the ongoing battle against numerous stigmatizations which is why I work with my clients to create open and safe environments where thoughts and feelings can not only be shared without fear of judgment, but where uniqueness and difference can also be valued and respected.
I am passionate about assisting and supporting individuals in ways that allow them to self-identify their strengths and remarkable resilience. I am empathetic to the individuals I serve and I understand that those individuals are more than the labels they have been branded with.
My therapeutic approach draws influences from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, ACT therapy, solution-focused brief family therapy, humanistic therapy, and psychodynamic therapy just to name a few. I also stay updated on the latest evidence-based practices and I take pride in learning about new, efficient ways to work with those I serve. Our dialog and treatment plan will be tailored to meet you where you are and address your unique and specific needs.
Making the choice to seek change is courageous. Although the journey may not be an easy one, I am here to support and empower you along the way.
