Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a License Clinical Social Worker with 40 years experience and have worked in out-patient and in-patient hospitals, schools and in Private Practice.
My clinical experiences afforded me the opportunity to gain expertise with issues relating to Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Complex Trauma, Mood Disorders, Intimacy-Relationship Issues, and Family Conflicts. I obtained an MSW degree from Smith College which included extensive training in the area of Psycho-Dynamic Theory, and other Clinical Orientations.
Presently I offer a holistic approach integrating also, Mindful Thinking, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, and Personalized, Evidence-Based Effective Therapy. It has been my experience that having expertise and a broader knowledge base of diverse theoretical approaches can facilitate an in-debt exploration and an understanding to formulate a thorough solid based clinical assessment and treatment plan. The assessment provides a means in which to identify a therapeutic goal and to gain an understanding of the clients individual needs. It also can help in the design of an optimal individualized treatment plan to help the client reach their individual personal goals.
I am a compassionate empathetic person, who listens cautiously and attentively to encourage client interaction and participation in the therapeutic process. This approach helps and enables the client to have the opportunity to identify their own understanding of their presenting problem as well as to identify their individual treatment goals.
I am a strong believer that every individual possesses the inner capacity to identify their conflicts, establish a therapeutic relationship and ultimately gain individual awareness to gain conflict resolution.
My ultimate aim is to assist clients in reducing the repetitive aspect of Depression and Anxiety by providing a specific individualized psycho-educational treatment plan, and to make an impact therapeutically by providing thoughtful support, guidance, and problem solving skills.
