Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Miguel Lopez and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. I provide telehealth therapy all across Texas. I received my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio where I received the knowledge, experience and skills working with an array of individuals seeking counseling services.
I have worked with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, sexual identity and gender related issues, trauma, grief and loss.
My counseling style is Eclectic. This means I take from multiple therapeutic modalities and incorporate them for each specific client need. Not one size fits all. The modalities I am currently most comfortable and knowledgeable in are Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
My goal as your counselor is to provide you with the building blocks and skills needed to work through the day to day issues we face. It’s nice to have extra tools to add to your tool belt. I will assist you by providing you with questions and reflections to become introspective, insightful and mindful of who you are and what you want; as well as, challenge you to overcome undesired behaviors and increase desired ones.
I utilize empathy and humor in my sessions to help build a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am a person who loves to learn new things and build many interests and hobbies. This allows me to adapt to my client as best as I can and learn from them as much as they learn skills from me.
Outside of counseling, you may find me gardening, knitting way too much, bowling, and enjoying the company of my partner, two cats and dog. 🙂

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can actually help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, choosing from video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule or to access support from different locations.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, remote therapy offers a practical and accessible path to addressing everyday mental health concerns.
