Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Michael Hutchinson, I go by Hutch, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. My therapeutic orientation may be considered Constructivist, and is designed to meet the individual where they are at, while applying evidence-based techniques rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address disturbances of the mind, emotions, and behavior.
I have been working and studying in the field of mental health since 2012, and have been actively licensed in the state of Florida since 2018. Over that time I have accrued experience in inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings; always maintaining a focus on trauma, severe/ persistent mental illness, relationships, and many other facets of the human experience.
In my practice, I always strive to promote self-determination, and have always considered clients to be the experts on themselves. Rather than provide advice, we discuss and develop insight rooted in your value system – your choices are not my choices. In addition to this, I have always valued continued education, and constantly seek new evidenced-based interventions and theories of change.

He also prioritizes ongoing professional development and continually seeks out new evidence-based interventions and theories of change to inform his work.
Many people ask whether virtual therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the mode that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it simpler to fit therapeutic work into a busy schedule.
All therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and if someone decides the fit is not right they can switch to a different therapist at any time.
