Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
You might be reading this because you’re not feeling yourself lately, or maybe you feel sad or anxious. Maybe you know why or perhaps you don’t.
If you’re looking for a safe place to explore what is going on, and unravel those tangled weaves, then you’ve come to the right place. I’m here to support you on your journey.
I work as an integrative counsellor which means that I will work with you collaboratively. I believe that there isn’t one approach that will fit everyone. We are all unique and I will try and tailor it to your needs and circumstances. I am passionate about providing a safe, judgement free environment where you can explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.
In sessions with me I will look to understand what is troubling you as well as you as a whole person. I will work to put myself in your shoes and see the world from your point of view. In initial sessions we can explore what your current issue and over time, when you are comfortable, look into the deeper elements. I will not tell you what to do, but be there to listen, and support you to find your own solutions or come to acceptance to enable you to move forward.
I look forward to working with you.

People often turn to Mellissa Hamley when they are not feeling like themselves, experiencing sadness or anxiety, whether they understand the cause or not. She provides a calm, welcoming starting point for those wanting to explore what is happening in their lives.
As an integrative counsellor, Mellissa works collaboratively with each person rather than relying on a single method. She believes no single approach fits everyone, and she adapts her work to suit individual needs and circumstances while offering a judgement free and supportive space to examine concerns.
In therapy Mellissa aims to understand both the immediate problem and the person as a whole, striving to see things from the client’s point of view. Early sessions typically focus on the current issue and, when the client feels ready, they may look more closely at deeper factors. She will not direct clients on what to do but will listen, reflect, and support them in finding their own solutions or reaching acceptance so they can move forward. Mellissa looks forward to working with clients seeking support.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can actually help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in whichever way feels most comfortable, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to engage from wherever is convenient.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and if someone feels they need a different fit they are free to switch therapists at any time. For many people dealing with everyday mental health challenges, online therapy offers an accessible and effective option to get support.
