Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Over the years I have been practicing. I have gained experience working with a wide variety of people who have many different reasons for seeking help. Before I qualified as a Therapeutic Counsellor I worked in the helping professions in the areas of mental health and learning disability for fifteen years. Since qualifying, my main focus and experience has been in trauma recovery. I have a passion for helping people grow to where they want to be.
I work pluralistically, meaning I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches to create a truly personalised experience for each client. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, I adapt techniques from various evidence-based therapies which I have training in. I draw on psychodynamic, person centred and cognitive behavioural approaches and incorporate meditation and mindfulness based on what resonates with you and addresses your specific goals. This flexible, tailored approach ensures our work together is as effective as possible.
I offer an open and safe space where you can be heard without judgement. I offer an invitation to talk through your emotions, relationships, patterns of behaviour, beliefs and their origins. This can help you discover new ways of experiencing that can move you towards the life you would like for yourself.
My aim is to facilitate the process by listening deeply to try to truly understand and feed back to you so that you can see things from a different perspective, and get to know how they affect your life. By talking through and understanding yourself, learning why you may react in ways that are holding you back, you can begin to build a more positive relationship with yourself and live your life the way you would like to.
I work from the perspective that you are the only one who truly knows you. I am guided by you and your preferences for the way we work together, whether you feel more suited to having space to explore yourself, guided exploration of your past and inner self or more interactive strategies to work with. Together, we can work towards the person you want to be through understanding, increasing self-awareness, building self-esteem, finding more helpful patterns and developing your relationship with yourself. The longest journey begins with the first step, I hope you will take that step for yourself today.

Margaret Wilde has developed a broad base of experience working with people who seek support for many different reasons. Prior to qualifying as a Therapeutic Counsellor she spent fifteen years in the helping professions, specialising in mental health and learning disability, and since qualifying her main area of practice has been trauma recovery.
She works pluralistically, drawing on multiple therapeutic approaches to shape a personalised way of working for each person. Rather than applying a single method, she integrates techniques from psychodynamic, person centred and cognitive behavioural approaches and includes meditation and mindfulness where these resonate with the client and support agreed goals.
Margaret aims to provide an open, non-judgemental space where clients can be heard and invited to explore emotions, relationships, patterns of behaviour, beliefs and their origins. Through this exploration clients can identify different ways of experiencing themselves and their relationships that may move them toward the life they want.
Her role is to facilitate that process by listening closely in order to understand and reflect back what she hears, helping clients to view situations from new perspectives and to recognise how past experiences affect current choices and reactions. By talking through difficulties and increasing self-understanding, people can begin to change reactions that hold them back and build a more positive relationship with themselves.
Margaret works from the view that each person is the expert on their own life, and she is guided by client preferences for how the work proceeds. Whether a client prefers space for open exploration, guided attention to past experience, or more interactive strategies, she adapts the approach to suit those preferences.
Together with clients she focuses on understanding, increasing self-awareness, strengthening self-esteem, finding more helpful patterns and developing a healthier relationship with the self. She encourages people to take the first step on that journey toward the changes they want to make.
Many people ask whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect with a therapist in the format that best fits their needs, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals and therapists, and if a client feels they need a different fit they can switch therapists at any time. For many people, the combination of clinical support and practical flexibility makes online therapy a practical option for addressing everyday mental health concerns.
