Lucy Caplan

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I qualified as a counsellor in 2007 and I’m currently a registered member of the BACP.

Since qualifying, I’ve worked consistently across various areas of counselling so I have a lot of experience of working with all different kinds of issues like relationship breakdown, family problems, bereavement, abuse, domestic violence, stress, anxiety, depression, eating related issues, work related issues, change management, loss, trauma, sexuality and addictions to name a few.

I’m an integrative counsellor which, in normal speak, just means that I combine different types of therapy to suit the varying needs of the different people that I work with, all of which I am trained in.

Overall I’m very client centred (I work with the issues you want to focus on) whilst remaining solution focussed and I’m generally just a very warm, non-judgemental and confident person.

My priority across the board, is to provide my clients with a confidential and effective environment in which they feel safe, comfortable and able to work through whatever it is that’s causing problems in their life.

I provide long-term, short-term, and time limited therapy, this can be either via telephone or video calls.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. A major benefit is flexibility – you can connect with a therapist in the way that suits you best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. That adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy around everyday commitments and to choose the format that feels most comfortable. Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if at any point you prefer a different fit you can switch therapists. Online therapy offers a practical route to consistent support for many everyday mental health and life challenges.
