I am a accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and 10 years of professional work. I am positive and passionate about the benefits of counselling and would relish the opportunity to support you through your difficulties.
Alongside, I am member Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and will shortly be gaining accreditation.
EMDR is a psychotherapy approach designed for working distressing or traumatic memories. The Theory behind EMDR is that many psychological difficulties are the result distressing life experiences which have not been stores in the memory and are said to be unblocked or unprocessed. These traumatic memories may some help to become processed, and EMDR is one way to do this.
I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, motivation, self esteem, & confidence. I also have experience working with depression. I am also a trained couple counsellor and have gained experience working with many couples successfully.
I am also trained in plat therapy and have experience of working in a educational setting.
Another part of my career has been offering support and counselling to bereaved families and individuals coming struggling with terminal illness.

Lorna Allport offers a calm, supportive approach to people who feel overwhelmed, isolated, or have been carrying feelings of dread, sadness or anger for some time and are now tired.
