Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
How I help: In my 25+ years in clinical practice, I have helped people with a wide range of psychological issues. These include PTSD, anxiety & panic attacks, as well as those who struggle with bipolar disorder. Over the years, however, I have developed several areas of expertise:
First, I have a special focus, in helping the NEURODIVERGENT community, and those who feel they don’t fit in with typical society. This includes those diagnosed with Asperger’s or Autism as well as those just wondering where they fit on the spectrum. In a related area, I see quite a few GLOBAL WORKERS, those who were raised as THIRD CULTURE Kids, and others who live long-term outside their country of birth. Living globally has so many benefits! But living (or having lived) abroad for a long time can also make it hard to know where you fit in and can lead to culture conflicts or feeling unrooted.
Next, due to some twists and turns in my own journey, I have deep experience in helping those with CHRONIC ILLNESS (including functional neurological disorder), invisible illnesses, and the FOOD ALLERGY community. Being unwell, but appearing ‘fine’ on the outside, is hard!
And finally, I have a passion for helping POLICE officers, fire fighters, military, medical professionals (especially ED staff) and first responders. There are many military in my family, so I know well the life you lead, and respect it.
I hold licenses as a psychologist (Master’s) and a licensed professional clinical counselor from the state of Kentucky.
