Lisa Anderson is a UK-licensed therapist with five years of professional experience. Her work is shaped by more than 25 years of personal exploration in spirituality, mindfulness, meditation and somatic experiencing, a background that deeply informs her therapeutic practice.
She offers support for people coping with anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related concerns, ADHD, relationship and family difficulties, grief, anger, self-esteem struggles and major life transitions. Lisa works with LGBT and gay clients and with older adults, bringing a polyvagal-informed approach that orients toward fostering safety and wellbeing.
Lisa practices in a person-centred way, believing that a kind, non-judgmental, honest and respectful therapeutic relationship provides the conditions for healing to emerge. She listens empathically and follows each person’s lead, while also guiding attention to physical sensations, thoughts and emotions as they arise.
Through mindful, somatic-based work Lisa supports clients to reconnect with the body’s natural capacities for integration and healing. She holds that at least one kind and safe relationship is fundamental to human health, and she aims to offer that collaborative, compassionate presence as people take the courageous step toward a more fulfilling life.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most individuals.
One major benefit is flexibility - people can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This adaptability often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they are seeking a different fit. Online therapy offers a convenient route to consistent, professional support for everyday mental health concerns.
