Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Laura, and I am a qualified, registered and experienced counsellor with my own private practice (www.newchapter-therapy.co.uk). I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, as well as a BA (Hons) degree and a PGCE.
I currently offer both short-term and long-term counselling via telephone and video counselling. I am fully qualified, insured and registered with the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) – this means I adhere to their Code of Ethics and my qualifications are nationally recognised. Additionally, I regularly participate in supervision and continuing professional development to ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date.
I’m an integrative counsellor offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind. My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that no single method fits everyone, so I draw from different therapeutic approaches, modalities and perspectives. This includes Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA), tailoring my work to suit your unique needs and experiences.

As an integrative counsellor, Laura provides a warm, non-judgemental space for clients to explore whatever is on their mind. Her approach is based on the idea that no single method fits everyone, so she draws on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA), tailoring her work to suit each person’s unique needs and experiences. Her areas of work include relationship and family difficulties, intimacy-related issues, career concerns, coping with life changes, stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting, anger, self-esteem, depression and compassion fatigue.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care when circumstances change.
Each therapist offering online work is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they would prefer a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, practical way to address everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
