Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am Laura, a Mbacp registered psychotherapist in the UK with 3 years of clinical experience and 15 years of working in the mental health field as a support worker. I am spiritual but not religious, and I can work somatically/energetically using gestalt methods with you, which means exploring feelings in the body to understand and access underlying emotions and experiences in the here and now that could be related to trauma and working at processing these feelings and how they can cause certain reactions. We can then work with regulating the body to a natural, calmer state through awareness of self.
Through a therapeutic relationship built on trust, openness and awareness, we can work through the struggles in your life that prevent you from being your best version of yourself and to bring awareness of any blocks holding you back.
I’m also neurodivergent and experienced in trauma, anxiety, bereavement, isolation, perimenopause/menopause and changes women experience. I also have experience in helping clients with low self-esteem and confidence issues, ADHD, autism, dyslexia and LGBTQ+.
I believe that you are the expert of your experiences and I am here not to give you answers but to help you become self-aware and also identify your strengths and bring these strengths into your awareness. You are in full control of your journey with me, I am here to hold you through your journey. You make the change you need and have full credit in doing so!
Taking the first step into therapy can be a daunting process, but with the right therapist, building a healthy therapeutic relationship can be the start of great enlightenment and growth in so many ways. For therapy to work at its best, you need to be ready to do the work with me in a safe environment.
You will find me to be empathic, compassionate, non-judgmental, authentic and grounded but I will challenge you too if I feel there is incongruence to what I am seeing, hearing and feeling in our sessions to promote your growth.
I look forward to having the pleasure to work with you on your unique journey 🙂

Laura Kirk is an MBACP-registered psychotherapist based in the United Kingdom, with 3 years of clinical experience and 15 years of work in the mental health field as a support worker. She is registered with the MBACP (Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Laura describes herself as spiritual but not religious and includes somatic and energetic approaches using Gestalt methods in her practice. She works with bodily sensations to access underlying emotions and present-moment experiences that may be connected to trauma, then supports clients in processing those feelings and noticing how they shape reactions. Part of her approach is helping regulate the body toward a calmer state through developing self-awareness.
Working within a therapeutic relationship founded on trust, openness and awareness, Laura helps clients address the struggles that keep them from being their best selves and brings attention to any blocks that may be holding them back.
She is neurodivergent and has particular experience with trauma, anxiety, bereavement, isolation, perimenopause and menopause, and the changes women experience. Laura also supports people dealing with low self-esteem and confidence issues, ADHD, autism, dyslexia and those who identify as LGBTQ+.
Laura believes clients are the experts on their own experience. Her role is not to provide all the answers but to foster self-awareness, help identify strengths, and bring those strengths into clear view. Clients remain in control of their journey while she offers steadiness and support throughout the process.
She recognises that starting therapy can feel daunting, and believes a healthy therapeutic relationship can be the beginning of meaningful growth and insight. For therapy to be most effective, Laura asks that clients come prepared to engage in the work within a safe environment.
Clients can expect an empathic, compassionate, non-judgmental, authentic and grounded therapist. At the same time she will gently challenge instances of incongruence between what she observes and what is expressed, to promote growth. She looks forward to the pleasure of working with clients on their unique journeys.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparably effective to in-person treatment in addressing these issues.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapy conducted online is delivered by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. The combination of accessibility and professional support makes online therapy a practical choice for many people seeking help.
