Krystal Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in California. She earned a Master of Social Work degree with a focus on Children, Youth and Families from California State University, Hayward in 2011 and obtained her clinical license in 2015, bringing eight years of clinical experience to her practice.
She has worked in a variety of settings with individuals and families facing concerns such as depression and anxiety, stress, family conflict, trauma and abuse, relationship and parenting challenges, and other personal difficulties. Across her work, she has found that the most important element of therapy is the connection, rapport, and comfort a person feels with the professional they choose.
Krystal aims to offer practical insight, techniques, and tools that clients can use between sessions to support meaningful change. She moves at a pace that each client finds comfortable and focuses on helping people progress toward goals they set for themselves, offering encouragement, empowerment, guidance, and occasional challenge when appropriate.
Outside of her clinical role, Krystal is a wife and mother of three, a licensed Zumba instructor, a musician, and enjoys scrapbooking.
Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit of remote therapy is its flexibility - clients can choose the communication method that fits their needs, whether that is a video session, a phone call, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and maintain continuity of care.
Each therapist involved in online practice is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, online therapy provides a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health and relationship concerns while preserving convenience and consistency.
