Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, I’m Kev, a qualified counsellor based in the North West of the UK.
Let me share a bit about my approach to therapy. While I could list my qualifications and years of study, I believe what really matters is how we might connect and work together.
I’ve been through therapy myself for many years, and I firmly believe in the importance of having a space where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential environment.
It can often be challenging to navigate our innermost thoughts and feelings with those closest to us. Even with the best intentions, our loved ones might not fully understand or handle the depth of what we’re experiencing, leading us to bottle up our emotions.
I practice Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), which puts you at the centre of the process. You are the expert on your own life, and therefore, the best person to decide what’s right for you. This therapeutic approach provides the right conditions for you to reflect and understand what might really be going on, helping you to make decisions that are best for you.
This isn’t about giving advice or telling you what to do; it’s about creating a space where you can think for yourself and discover your own needs. Therapy can be challenging, but I believe everyone can benefit from engaging in this process.
I’m open to working with a wide range of issues, and if I feel another service might be more suitable, I will discuss that with you and provide recommendations.
I hope this resonates with you, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kevin Thomas is a qualified counsellor based in the North West of the UK who places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of his work. With nine years of practice behind him and personal experience of therapy, he values creating a calm, non-judgemental space where people can explore their thoughts and feelings without pressure.
He works from a Person-Centred Therapy approach, which recognises the individual as the expert on their own life and emphasises the conditions that allow self-reflection and personal understanding to emerge. Therapy with Kevin is focused on supporting clients to think for themselves, clarify their needs, and make decisions that suit them.
Kevin does not position therapy as giving direct advice or prescribing solutions. Instead he aims to provide an environment that encourages honest exploration, knowing that the work can be challenging but also broadly beneficial for those who engage with it.
He is open to working with a wide range of concerns and will discuss and suggest alternative services if he believes another route would better meet a client’s needs. Kevin welcomes contact from anyone interested in starting that process.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits their life, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy around work, family, and other commitments.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if a client feels the fit is not right they can switch to a different therapist. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible and practical route to consistent support.
