For almost a decade, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals recover from addiction, offering compassionate, evidence-based support. My expertise in the 12-Step Recovery Model allows me to guide individuals through transformative healing with deep understanding and empathy.
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist in private practice, specialising in the treatment of addictions, trauma, and sexual abuse. I hold a first-class undergraduate degree in Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Counselling from the University of Greater Manchester and a master’s degree in Positive Psychology and Counselling. My clinical work integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities with a strength-based approach grounded in positive psychology and I have contributed to research on addiction. My professional interests include trauma-informed care, resilience-building, and the long-term psychological impact of addiction. I’m am a member of the BACP and practitioner member of Addiction Professionals.
My experience in the addiction sector, brings a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding substance anbuse and recovery. I am well-versed in the 12-Step Model, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and have successfully supported many individuals in building and maintaining a life free from addiction. I volunteer for a leading addiction organisation which brings me fulfilment whilst continually challenging me on my knowledge in this area.
