Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! I look forward to hearing from you. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 20 years of experience as both a therapist and clinical supervisor. My academic background includes two Master’s degrees: one in Marriage and Family Therapy and another focused on research in Human and Environmental Geography. Throughout my career, I’ve supported many military veterans, college students, mothers and parents, and individuals grappling with disordered eating, depression, shame, and perfectionism, among other concerns. I am also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDWF), trained in Dr. Brené Brown’s transformative research on shame and vulnerability.
On a personal level, I’m quite down-to-earth and analytical. I often find clarity and explore my thoughts about life and human nature while hiking and backpacking. Professionally, I’m skilled at helping clients discover the underlying mechanisms that may unknowingly reinforce problematic patterns in their lives. I’ve found that with enough time listening, just about everyone’s story makes sense.
My practice centers on a collaborative style: “we’re going to unravel this together and make sense of your story here so that you can then make the changes you need and want for yourself.” I’m flexible in my approach, able to offer structured homework or allow you to guide the flow and pace of our sessions. The most important thing to know is that we navigate this journey of discovery together!

June Thompson is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in California with 20 years of experience as both a clinician and a clinical supervisor. She holds two master’s degrees – one in Marriage and Family Therapy and a second focused on research in Human and Environmental Geography. She is also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, trained in Dr. Brené Brown’s research on shame and vulnerability.
Over the course of her career, she has worked with many military veterans, college students, mothers and parents, and people facing disordered eating, depression, shame, and perfectionism, among other concerns. She is known for a down-to-earth, analytical approach and often finds clarity while hiking and backpacking.
Clinically, she focuses on helping clients identify the underlying mechanisms that can reinforce difficult patterns. Her work is collaborative – she partners with clients to make sense of their stories and support the changes they want to make. She adapts her style to each person’s needs, offering structured homework when helpful or following the client’s lead on flow and pace, and she guides the process of discovery alongside each client.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. It can be an effective option for people seeking support for these types of issues.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect in the format that fits their lives best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to work therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch providers if they find a different fit is needed. Online therapy can be a practical, accessible way to get consistent support from a qualified therapist.
